RIBBED LATH
lntroduction
SK Metal Ribbed Lath is made from
a galvanized steel sheet, manufactured to webbed
herringbone panel with longitudinal stiffening ribs
simultaneously roll-formed, particularly suitable
for constructional application as a base for plastering.
Effective adhering characteristics make ribbed lath
more endurable than flat steel panel on long spans
supporting application, ideal for suspended ceiling
application and steel fire-proof encasement works.
SK Metal ribbed lath is used as a backing and reinforcement
for external render, including thermal isolation
render, rough cast, stucco and masonry veneer. It
can be used in the construction of timber framed
houses. Can be used to provide a key way over surfaces
which have been treated with paint or other materials
which reduce bonding.
